North Goa is stretched across 30 acres with over 11

world. Some of the most popular beaches are Anjuna Beach, Calangute Beach and
Baga Beach. In comparison to the South,the North Goa receives larger number of

Fort Aguada
Built by the Portuguese in 1612, the fort was used to keep a
watchful eye on the Marathan and Dutch invaders. The fort also served as a

lighthouse in Asia. Overlooking the Arabian Sea, the fort is a fine specimen of
Portuguese architecture.
Chapora Fort
One of the most popular forts built by the Portuguese. It is
believed, there already existed a fort in the same location, and the Portuguese
rebuild a fort on top of the same foundation. The fort is named Chapora after
the river that flows near the fort. The fort has been conquered multiple time
by various invaders such as the Marathas.
Anjuna Beach
This is a popular beach among tourists due to its lively
vibes, and never-ending parties. The beach has plenty of restaurants and bars
serving tasty local Goan cuisine along with some refreshing drinks. Visitors
can also participate in adventure sport activities like Scuba Diving, Bungee
Jumping, Paragliding and much more.
Chapel of St Anthony
Built in the 17th century, the church is dedicated to the
patron Saint of the Portuguese, St. Anthony. The chapel showcases the
architectural genius of the Portuguese and resembles a fort in its outlook. The
church is packed on 13th June to celebrate the saint’s feast day.
